Pronex Cervical Traction Device
Why use cervical traction?
Pain caused by muscle spasm, nerve root compression, osteoarthritis or facet joint dysfunction often responds favorably to cervical traction therapy. (Matthew,1972; Murphy,1991; Rosomoff, et al,1992.)How It works
PRONEX cradles your head and neck on two soft foam cushions. One cushion supports the back of the head and the other rests against the upper trapezius (back muscle). An air-inflated bellows between them provides up to 20 lbs of continuously adjustable traction. As the bellows expands, it lifts the head upward supporting the cervical curve and maintaining an even distraction in the anterior and posterior cervical discs. You have total control over the amount of traction applied - squeezing an inflator bulb increases the pressure, a release knob gently reduces it. There is no strain on the temporomandibular joint.
Proof of effectiveness
I personally use the Pronex device for my tension headaches. Daily stress settles in my cervical muscles, and with regular end of the day use of home traction I am headache-free and sleep better!Pays for itself
Reduces pharmacy bills for anti-inflammatory medications, minimizes lost workdays, and often eliminates the need for ongoing office visits and drawn-out physical therapy. Patient manages pain control at home.

Severe rheumatoid arthritis, infections and inflammatory disease, fractures, or other serious pathology or disease like tumors (malignancy), and spinal cord compression are other reasons NOT TO USE cervical traction.
